One of Wimberley's original vacation getaways, this updated 1940's rock cottage is an amazing vacation value.
Shepherd's Rest is a wonderful, centrally-located launching pad to enjoy all the Wimberley Valley has to offer from one of Texas' finest swimming holes, Blue Hole, to Wimberley Market Days, shopping on the Square, the Corral Outdoor Movie Theatre, local vineyards, playhouses, etc.
When it's time to relax there's plenty of room to enjoy the great outdoors at Shepherd's Rest - from stargazing in the hot tub; playing in the large, fenced, kid-friendly yard; grilling in the outdoor kitchen, or relaxing on the Texas-sized front porch. Also, the outdoor gaming pavilion includes ping pong and darts.
Inside you'll find comfortable king bedding accommodations; additional amenities include a full-kitchen, cable TV, wireless Internet, puzzles, cards, and board games to help you enjoy your stay at Shepherd's Rest.
Shepherd's Rest is the perfect 'Away, But Not Too Far Away' destination in Wimberley. Only a short drive to all the best Wimberley has to offer including: Blue Hole Regional Park, Corral Outdoor Movie Theater, The Square, Market Days, Wimberley Glass Works, and local eateries.
Shepherd's Rest is fabulous for the exercise enthusiast. Act like a local and enjoy walking, jogging, or cycling Flite Acres Road, Little Arkansas Road, or Little Ranches (it gets hilly fast!). Blue Hole Park also offers 4+ miles of easy trails for pedestrians and cyclists and a playground and basketball court for the kids.
